2007 Louis Roederer Cristal Brut的美名並非空穴來風，根據《The Wine Advocate》記載水晶香檳的誕生過程：

由於發芽早（3月底），夏季潮濕，2007年的葡萄是在8月底採摘的，因此比正常93-95天的花期來得晚，將近100天。2007年水晶香檳中的Pinot Noir（57%）比往年少一些，Chardonnay (43%) 則相應多一些。水晶香檳呈金黃色，酒香深沉、成熟而又清晰，帶有成熟的黃色水果和蜂蜜的香氣，酒體飽滿、圓潤，口感非常複雜，成熟的果香和精確的礦物質完美地融合在一起。這是一款質地絲滑、純淨而精確、強勁而富有表現力的香檳，餘韻綿長而持久，極富張力，白堊的表現力極佳。

Expert tasting note: "Intense fruit is just packed into this wine, it has a fine bead and notes of lemon and mandarin on the attack. The mid-palate is rich textured with almond and cashew flavours overlaid by brioche notes. Lovely freshness and incredible length of flavour. A wine I’d happily age another 7-8 yrs." - 9/20 DCAMW
